JAKARTA – Oil and gas entrepreneur, James Leo, Tuesday (12/12/2022) appreciated the implementation of the exhibition initiated by SKK Migas Directorate General of Oil and Gas at ADIPEC, which has produced positive results with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between domestic manufacturers PT Daeshin Flange Fitting Industry with Fluxion Steel Pte Ltd as a strategic partner for sales in Asia and the Middle East.
“This is an achievement and pride in itself, that the government’s support in developing national capabilities has had a multiplier effect so that we are able to compete at the international level,” said James Leo.
James also said that this also proves that the nation’s children have qualified competence so that they can reach the global market in an era of super tight competition.
“This certainly cannot be separated from the coaching program carried out by SKK Migas and the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources,” concluded James.
Meanwhile, as reported by tribunnews.com on November 1, 2022, Indonesia is participating again in the 2022 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum and Conference (ADIPEC). The ADIPEC 2022 event will be held on 31 October – 3 November 2022 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Indonesia is represented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas). Both introduced nine companies supporting the domestic oil and gas industry.
These companies are considered capable of producing products and services with international standard quality.
The Director General (Dirjen) of Oil and Gas (Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tutuka Ariadji expressed his appreciation to all teams and also the domestic industry involved in ADIPEC 2022.
“Going forward, we hope that the Indonesian upstream oil and gas supporting industry will gain more trust to be able to support upstream oil and gas projects and operations at the global level,” said Tutuka Ariadji, Tuesday (1/11/2022) in a written statement.
On this occasion, the Head of SKK Migas, Dwi Soetjipto, Deputy Minister of SOEs Pahala Mansury, and the Indonesian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Husin Bugis, were also present to provide support for Indonesia’s participation in the event.
Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto added, the presence of the Indonesia Pavilion could have an impact on strengthening domestic supporting industries, leading to increased achievements at the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) as well as a multiplier effect in Indonesia.
“The government continues to strengthen the role of domestic companies in all activities in the upstream oil and gas industry. This commitment does not stop at meeting domestic needs, but also promotes the ability of the local industry to support upstream oil and gas at the global level,” he said.
Meanwhile, Head of Supply Chain Management and Cost Analysis Division of SKK Migas, Erwin Suryadi as Head of the Indonesia Pavilion ADIPEC 2022 Team, said that the Indonesia Pavilion this time was very special.
Because for the first time, presenting solid cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, SKK Migas and Pertamina.
Where to bring all directors of subholding companies and 9 domestic manufacturers who have been fostered and have the ability to export to foreign countries, namely Pertamina Patra Niaga, Starborn Chemical, Fajar Benua Group, Molden Patra Sejahtera, Valve Engineering Technology, Daeshin Flange Fitting Industry, Krakatau Steel, Citra Tubindo Tbk and Bukit Baja Nusantara.
“Indonesia’s participation in ADIPEC 2022 will be a good promotional event for Indonesia to be able to open up business opportunities, especially in the oil and gas industry,” said Erwin.
“We brought them together with potential investors to be involved together in developing the upstream oil and gas industry in the country,” continued Erwin.
According to him, this is necessary to answer the production vision of 1 million barrels of oil per day and 12 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day in 2030.
